A Walk Around School at the End of Winter

I see an earthquake
between the sidewalks,
A cement block
guarding the water,
A tiny waterfall bubbling
and a lake split in two.
Hotels for bees,
Rusty greasy waterfalls
running down the walls.
A  dead mini-forest,
Rapunzel’s hair in the grass,
A bike trail and the Northern Lights
Still more… Ant homes and
Brown dirty pods.
Crackling leaves playing chase
Across the mold covered grass.
And I have never been so sad
